Valve broke its own rules: Deadlock's Steam page doesn't have screenshots, but it should have at least 5
Valve is actively working on its next game, the multiplayer shooter Deadlock. The game's page is already available on Steam, but in violation of the rules.
Here's What We Know
If you publish your game on Steam, Valve's mandatory requirement is that the game page should have at least 5 screenshots of the game. Deadlock's page has only a 20-second teaser and no screenshots. So Valve actually broke its own rules.
Although this is not the first time Valve has done something like this. In March 2024, Valve added a sticker "winner of more than 100 awards" to the cover of The Orange Box on Steam. This also contradicts Valve's Steam rules, which prohibit the display of reviewer scores and award names.
So now we wonder how soon Valve will add screenshots of Deadlock to its Steam page.
As a reminder, Deadlock is a 6v6 third-person MOBA shooter. Players control hero characters and accompany NPCs along several lanes to destroy the stationary defences of the enemy team. If the enemy's defences are destroyed, it unlocks their "Patron", a huge magically animated golem that must be defeated to win the match.
