Onyx Boox Go 6: an e-book with a 6-inch E Ink screen and Android on board for $149

Onyx has announced a new e-book called Boox Go 6.

Technical Characteristics

This is a 6-inch device with an E Ink Carta 1300 display. The panel has a resolution of 1448×1072 (300 ppi) and boasts adjustable brightness. The novelty supports light and dark mode.

Boox Go 6 runs on the Android 12 operating system. That is, users can install third-party applications from Google Play on the device. Onyx promises to support the device for more than three years.

The novelty runs on an eight-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. If desired, the storage can be expanded using a microSD card slot. The manufacturer also offers 10GB of cloud storage.

Boox Go 6 supports up to 26 digital formats including PDF, EPUB, EPUB3, AZW3, MOBI, DOCX, PPT and HTML. In addition, the device can run MP3 and WAV audio file formats. The novelty is powered by a 1500 mAh battery and is charged via USB-C port. The gadget has Bluetooth 5.0.
