Role-playing game GreedFall II: The Dying World was supposed to be released in Steam Early Access in summer 2024, but this date was postponed to the 24th of September, but now there is a possibility that this date will not be final.

Here's What We Know

French studio Spiders - the creator of the first part of Greedfall and action game Steelrising - has announced that it will conduct a strike caused by unsatisfactory working conditions.

The developers published an open letter, in which they said that in January 2024 had already tried to influence the policy of the company Nacon, but the management of the publisher ignored their demands.

As the main problems Spiders employees note ineffective management, unorganised workflow, gender inequality, low wages, high staff turnover. And with all these problems in the studio, which is subordinate to Nacon, overblown staff, because of which the work can not be established.

Moreover, the development of GreedFall II has reached a dead end and none of their managers are unable to determine the future vector of the project.

As a result, Spiders employees decided to go on strike on the 2nd and 3rd of September in the hope that their demands will be heard.

Spiders employees are demanding greater management transparency and employee representation in management, simplification of studio organisation through collective consultation, guarantees related to remote working, anti-discrimination policies, elimination of the gender pay gap in the studio, wage increases and much more.
