CD Projekt Red is actively working on games in the Witcher and Cyberpunk universes, and the company's profit grew by 90% in the first half of 2024
CD Projekt Red told us how the first half of 2024 went for the company, so here are the highlights.
Here's What We Know
The company is preparing to start the full production phase of the Polaris project, the first part of the new Witcher saga. The development team is approaching an important milestone that will mark the end of pre-production.
The first half of the year was also busy for the Boston-based studio, which is laying the groundwork for Project Orion, a new game set in the cyberpunk universe.
In May, the studio released REDkit, a modding tool for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that allows users to create their own adventures in the world of Geralt.
CD Projekt's revenues in the first half of 2024 amounted to PLN 425 million ($110 million). This was primarily driven by sales of Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion pack, Phantom Liberty. The consolidated net profit was PLN 170 million ($44 million). This is almost 90% more than last year.
