The Cyberpunk 2077 universe will still receive animation projects, but don't expect a second season of Edgerunners

In September 2022, Netflix released the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which received 100% freshness from critics and 95% from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes. Therefore, fans of the universe expect to see something similar in the future and it is likely to happen.

Here's What We Know

CD Projekt CEO Michał Nowakowski was asked whether the company plans more such projects. The company was planning to create only one season of Edgerunners, but it doesn't mean that we won't see other anime or cartoons in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe.

Nowakowski said that they definitely plan to do more animation projects for Cyberpunk. In conclusion, he added that we should expect to see more, but that's all he can say right now.

So for now, you can watch for the first time or revisit Edgerunners while waiting for new projects.
