Peak online of Valve's new game Deadlock exceeds 100 thousand players: access to MOBA shooter is possible only by invitation
Valve is actively working on its next game, the multiplayer shooter Deadlock. You can play the game only after receiving an invitation, but this did not prevent Deadlock from setting a high online peak.
Here's What We Know
On 29 August, 106 thousand people were playing Deadlock simultaneously. Even at the time of writing, more than 67 thousand people are playing the game, although again, it is not possible to just enter Deadlock, but the project still managed to attract a large number of players.
As a reminder, Deadlock is a 6v6 third-person MOBA shooter. Players control hero characters and accompany NPCs along several lanes to destroy the stationary defences of the enemy team. If the enemy's defences are destroyed, it unlocks their "Patron", a huge magically animated golem that must be defeated to win the match.
When We Can Expect It
Deadlock does not even have an estimated release date yet, as Valve is actively developing it. Therefore, if you really want to play, wait for an invitation either from Valve itself or from your friends.
