Google may integrate its latest AI assistant, Gemini, into Android Auto. In the latest version of Android Auto, v12.8.143544, we found hints pointing to this possibility.

Here's What We Know

In particular, the Gemini icon, which has become synonymous with Google's artificial intelligence technologies, appeared in the app code.

Gemini Live may become available in Android Auto, but a subscription to Google One AI Premium is required to use this feature.

Importantly, Gemini integration does not require any additional hardware, so users will be able to access the conversational AI assistant without having to change their device.

Gemini is a new generation of Google's digital assistant designed to replace Google Assistant functions with improved artificial intelligence capabilities. Although the feature is still in development, its potential appearance in Android Auto could significantly improve the user experience while travelling.
