The Back to Hogwarts event for fans of the Harry Potter universe is held every year on the 1st of September. As a rule, there are no loud announcements there, but this time Warner Bros. announced a pleasant news.

Here's What We Know

The company announced the re-release of two iconic LEGO games based on Harry Potter.

The LEGO Harry Potter Collection will include both original instalments:

  • Years 1-4;
  • Years 5-7;
  • two DLCs - Character Pack and Spell Pack.

The games will feature graphics and gameplay enhancements, the details of which have not yet been revealed. Both games will run in 4K resolution at 60 fps and support haptic feedback (on PS5) and high-resolution shadows.

The developer isn't specifying details of the re-release, but it will likely be an improved version of the compilation that was previously released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Both re-releases are being developed by Double Eleven Studios.

When We Can Expect It

The updated LEGO Harry Potter Collection will be released on 8 October 2024 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. PlayStation Plus subscribers will get the new version for free.

Those who have purchased LEGO Harry Potter Collection on previous generation consoles from the same manufacturer will receive a discount.
