Korean publication Hankyung reported that Samsung has decided to return to Qualcomm processors in the Galaxy S25 line of smartphones.

Here's What We Know

According to the source, Samsung has abandoned the 3-nanometre Exynos 2500 chip for the Galaxy S25. Instead, the Korean manufacturer will install a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor in the new products.

As for the Exynos 2500, it is likely to debut later in 2025 with the release of the Galaxy Fold 7 and Galaxy Flip 7 foldable smartphones.

Why Samsung has decided not to use its proprietary chip for now is not known. We can only assume that it is due to SoC performance issues. Perhaps Samsung has decided to first improve the chip before releasing it to the market.
