Money won't solve anything: in Monster Hunter Wilds, all paid armour sets have only an aesthetic function - Pay-to-Win won't happen
Many gamers are annoyed when paid items in games, especially online games, give users extra benefits, leading to a situation where the best results are achieved not by the one who plays better, but by the one with more money.
The highly anticipated action game Monster Hunter Wilds is due for release in 2025 and there are fears that Capcom will offer DLC that will allow money to enhance characters and gain an instant advantage over most players.
However, the game director was quick to clarify the situation.
Here's What We Know
In an interview with channel Rurikhan, Monster Hunter Wilds lead developer Yuya Tokuda confirmed that the game will indeed feature paid premium armour sets, but for all their beauty, they won't give any advantage over other players.
This is a deliberate move by the developers to ensure that in the hunt for huge monsters, all players will be on equal footing and will not be able to take advantage of various Pay-to-Win systems like in many other popular games.
On a more interesting note, Yuya Tokuda has confirmed that Monster Hunter Wilds will feature the aesthetes' favourite transmogrification feature, which allows you to change the appearance of any item of clothing and armour while retaining their characteristics.
When We Can Expect It
Monster Hunter Wilds is expected to release in 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
