Pixel 9 Pro XL users are facing touchscreen issues
Some owners of the new Pixel 9 Pro XL smartphones have experienced touchscreen issues. Users report that the screen does not always register touches in the corners of the display.
Here's What We Know
The problem manifests itself in different ways: sometimes taps are registered, but more often the screen ignores taps in the corners. In other cases, the screen seems to register when you swipe your finger on a corner, but ignores single taps. There are also times when the screen doesn't respond to taps at all. This is especially inconvenient, as many applications place important buttons near the edges of the display, such as buttons to close adverts. The bug is most likely a software bug, as some users temporarily solve the problem by rebooting the device, but this is not a long-term solution.
At this time, Google has not provided any official recommendations for fixing the issue. Pixel 9 Pro XL owners are actively discussing the problem on forums such as Reddit, sharing their observations and possible solutions. Google is expected to soon release a software update that will fix the flaw.
