Rumour: Nintendo will unveil its new console in September - reputable journalists are confident in the information received
Over the past few months, the media has released a huge amount of information about the new console from Nintendo, which has been tentatively named Switch 2.
According to unconfirmed reports, the device will go on sale in the first quarter of 2025, but the Japanese company has kept absolute silence and does not comment on rumours about its own console.
But it looks like Nintendo's silence will be broken soon.
Here's What We Know
The head of GamesIndustry.biz, Chris Dring, said that he has spoken to several people familiar with Nintendo's plans, and they claim that the company will release a teaser or even a full-fledged unveiling of the new console as early as September.
VGC editor-in-chief AndyRobinson is of the same opinion. He and his colleagues have also heard similar information, but Robinson isn't 100 per cent sure it's true.
It's worth noting that it's about time for Nintendo to start its Switch 2 advertising campaign, so the fact that it will be unveiled soon seems quite logical and reasonable.
