Zoom has introduced the new H1 XLR portable recorder, which can record distortion-free thanks to 32-bit floating audio and dual converters. The device has dual XLR/TRS inputs and offers a low noise floor of -122 dBu, which is ideal for recording both soft and loud sounds.

Here's What We Know

The device is powered by AA batteries, lithium batteries, or via the power adapter, providing up to 12 hours of phantom power.

H1 XLR can be used as an audio interface to connect to Android and Apple smartphones, as well as PC and Mac computers via USB-C. The internal microSD card slot supports cards up to 1TB, allowing you to store recordings both on the card and on the connected audio interface.

The recorder has an OLED display for real-time waveform viewing and supports multiple languages for ease of use.

The device also has a built-in speaker and headphone jack, allowing you to track recordings while recording. The H1 XLR will be available for $149 and will be available on Amazon US on 16 September 2024.
