A few years ago, there was information on the web that a mobile version of the popular online shooter Destiny was in development. This rumour was not officially confirmed, and after two waves of layoffs and large-scale restructuring in Bungie, it was logical to assume that the project was cancelled before it was announced.

But two authoritative insiders claim that the game is still being developed.

Here's What We Know

The first to mention the mobile shooter was insider and dataminer Kurakasis. He claims that the project is called Destiny Rising and it is not cancelled. According to his data, the main development is handled by the Chinese corporation NetEase, and Bungie is represented by only a small team of specialists, but the process of creating the game in general is not very active.

Journalist Jeff Grubb supplemented Kurakasis' information with a statement that Destiny Rising will retain the main features of the original game, but the mobile version will have one major difference - instead of being able to create your own hero and gradually develop him, gamers will be offered pre-made characters with unique abilities and features.

Probably, Destiny Rising announcement will take place soon enough.
