Segway has unveiled a new all-terrain electric scooter, the ZT3 Pro, which will go on sale in the US this autumn. Earlier, in July, this scooter was introduced for the Chinese market.
Here's What We Know
The scooter features a full suspension frame, telescopic front fork, and rear swingarm suspension to handle rough terrain. The ZT3 Pro can reach speeds of up to 40km/h and tackle up to 25 per cent grades thanks to its powerful 1,600-watt brushless motor.
Among the innovations is Segway RideyLong technology, which provides up to 70 kilometres on a single charge in economy mode and up to 30 kilometres in sport mode. The scooter is also equipped with the Segride system for a comfortable and safe ride at high speeds. Smart features include AirLock Bluetooth wireless system, updated battery management system, Flash Charge technology and integration with Apple Find My. There's a 3-inch LCD display on the handlebars that shows real-time speed, charging and mode.
The ZT3 Pro weighs around 30kg and has a payload of up to 120kg. Pre-orders for the US model will begin on 26 September, with deliveries expected in late October.
