Apple may increase the basic storage on the iPhone 16 Pro to 256 GB, which is a significant upgrade from the previous model. This innovation is likely to be accompanied by a price increase.

Here's What We Know

The report notes that the new iPhone 16 Pro may cost more than the iPhone 15 Pro due to the introduction of a tetraprism zoom lens, which was previously exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Taiwanese research company TrendForce reported that the new product will also receive new A18 and A18 Pro chips, and all four iPhone 16 models will have 8 GB of RAM.

Last year, Apple used a similar strategy with the iPhone 15 Pro Max, adding a tetraprism zoom lens and 256GB of basic storage, but for the same price as the iPhone 14 Pro Max with the same amount of storage. Since the iPhone 16 Pro will have new features, including a larger display, it is likely that its price will be higher.

The iPhone 16 models will have new processors: the A18 chip for non-Pro versions and the A18 Pro for Pro models. Apple is also expected to increase the RAM for non-Pro models to 8 GB to support new features.

We will learn more details about the new iPhone 16 on 9 September, when Apple officially unveils it.
