American company D&M launches new ammunition plant in Ukraine

The US Department of Defence has announced that D&M Holding Company has opened a new plant in Ukraine to produce ammunition for the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

As of today, the company has completed the construction of new facilities and has already begun to increase the rate of production and expansion of the enterprise.

Interestingly, D&M will not control the production of ammunition - it is only the builder of the facility. The company is a provider of turnkey ammunition solutions for government and commercial customers seeking large-scale engineering and manufacturing solutions.

There is no information yet on what kind of ammunition the plant will produce. However, it is likely that the new facilities will produce rifle cartridges in 5.56 mm and 7.62 mm calibres.
