Leaked screenshots of Project Odyssey have revealed what Blizzard's cancelled survival simulator could look like
In early 2024, just after finalising a deal with Microsoft, Blizzard cancelled the development of an ambitious survival simulator that hadn't even managed to get an official title and was listed as Project Odyssey.
This surprised gaming media and gamers, as it was reported that the development was progressing well and some insiders claimed that it was close to completion.
Here's What We Know
Since Blizzard didn't present any information about Project Odyssey besides the only official artwork, we'll never know what the game might turn out to be. But screenshots of the ambitious cancelled project have surfaced online, showing that the game had a familiar survival simulation interface with a large selection of tools, gadgets, and item creation options.
Stylistically, the game follows Blizzard's traditional visual design, which is a bit reminiscent of cartoon graphics.
