More than one million modifications for Baldur's Gate III installed in the first 24 hours using the official toolkit from Larian Studios
On 5 September Larian Studios released the seventh major update for the role-playing game Baldur's Gate III, which is still available only on PC.
The developers fixed a thousand bugs, added an additional "evil" ending and made other changes. However, the main innovation was the launch of the official toolkit for creating, distributing and installing custom modifications.
Here's What We Know
Larian Studios knew very well that mods will be in great demand, but no one expected such a frenzy.
The head of the Belgian company, Swen Vincke, said that more than a million mods were installed for Baldur's Gate III in the first 24 hours!
It is known that many role-playing games do not lose popularity after a long time thanks to an active community of modders. Apparently, Baldur's Gate III will have many years of demand and attention from gamers.
