Apple is preparing to unveil its new iPhone 16 range tomorrow, 9 September, with the older models - iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max - attracting particular attention.

Here's What We Know

According to the latest information, one of the key features of these devices will be a significantly reduced screen bezel. According to leaks, the bezel of the 16 Pro models will be only 1.15 mm, which is 33% smaller than the iPhone 15 Pro. This is made possible by Border Reduction Structure (BRS) technology, which bends the wiring and circuitry near the edge of the display downwards.

The new models will also get larger screens: 6.3 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro and 6.9 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. This is 0.2 inches more than their predecessors. In the future, according to the roadmap, the iPhone 17 will also get a 6.3-inch screen, while the iPhone Air, which will replace the iPhone 17 Plus, will feature a 6.7-inch display.

Reducing the bezels makes the devices more attractive, but it also increases the risk of accidental screen taps. These changes will allow for a larger screen size without significantly increasing the overall size of the device.
