Publisher Square Enix has long stated that it will be expanding its partnership with Microsoft, including releasing games in the Final Fantasy series on Xbox consoles.

As a result of this strategy, Final Fantasy XIV has already been released on Xbox, but more projects of this franchise are waiting for gamers on American platforms.

Here's What We Know

On the Xbox Two podcast, Windows Central editor Jez Corden revealed that the Japanese developer's plans include releasing all of Final Fantasy on Xbox, including the still incomplete Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, which is currently a PlayStation console exclusive.

Separately, Corden emphasised the series that will be released on the American console will be Final Fantasy XVI (2023).

Recall, rumours of Final Fantasy XVI being ported to Xbox have been around for a while now and Jez Corden has only confirmed their authenticity.
