Rockstar offered the authors of Temptation's song only $7500 for its appearance in GTA VI: the company was refused
No one doubts that GTA VI will become a real financial success and set several records at once. And those people who are invited by Rockstar to collaborate on the game are expected to get a lot of money for it, but sometimes the company can offer only a few thousand dollars, which causes some people to be outraged.
Here's What We Know
Martin Ware, co-founder of the synth-pop band Heaven 17, wrote that he was contacted by his publishers on behalf of Rockstar Games about the possibility of using the Temptation song in Grand Theft Auto 6.
Martin expected to see a generous offer, but he was only offered $7500 and no royalties.
He reminded that GTA V brought the authors more than $8 billion, so he refused the offer.
The song Temptation was included in the second album The Luxury Gap (1983).Temptation received a BPI silver certificate in May 1983 for sales of over 250,000 copies, and later entered the Official Charts Company list as the 34th best-selling single of 1983 in the UK.
