During the Friends Per Second podcast, Nicolas Doucet, director of Astro Bot, said that the Astro IP is very flexible, so the team will be thinking about ideas for the next project.

However, he also noted that it should be something fresh, as it is very important for the team. The authors don't want to just make "Astro Bot 1.5". That's why Nicolas summed it all up with "time will tell".
