We wrote that in September, the PlayStation 5 and its accessories would become more expensive in Japan. At the time, it seemed that this would affect only one country, but the price increase for some PlayStation products has also occurred in other countries.

Here's What We Know

Prices for DualSense gamepads in the PlayStation Direct store, as well as at US retailers Best Buy, Target, and GameStop, have increased by $5.

The white gamepad now costs $75, while the coloured one will cost $80.

Prices have also risen in Australia, but it is not yet known whether price increases will occur in other countries. However, if you have been thinking about buying a new gamepad for a long time and your price has not yet changed, it is better to be safe and do it now.
