Apple has unveiled a new A18 chip that will be built into the iPhone 16. This chip has a six-core central processing unit, a five-core graphics processor, and a sixteen-core neural engine.

Here's What We Know

According to Apple, the A18 chip is 30% faster in single-core mode compared to the previous A16 Bionic chip used in the iPhone 15. The new memory subsystem also provides the fastest data transfer.

In addition to the performance gains, the A18 features improved efficiency through the use of a second-generation 3-nm manufacturing process.

Apple emphasises that the iPhone 16 has been designed to take advantage of the new capabilities of the A18 chip, providing advanced performance for artificial intelligence and other tasks.
