In honour of a decade since the release of the first part of Destiny, Bungie Studios has published an important message to fans, revealing plans for further support for Destiny 2.

Here's What We Know

In a rather extensive article, the developers revealed the first details of the Frontiers expansion (working title).

It will be a large-scale expansion, which will be released in 2025 and will be divided into two parts: the first - Apollo will be released in the summer of 2025, and the second - Behemoth in the winter of the same year.

In Apollo gamers will be offered a non-linear story for the first time in the series, in which it will be possible to perform tasks in random order. In addition to that, the add-on will offer a large space for exploring locations, and new mechanics are planned to be developed in further expansions.

We don't know much about Behemoth yet, but Bungie has announced that Destiny 2 will continue to receive major free add-ons, and four such updates are planned for 2025, in which the developers will add new content, update the balance, offer new quests and rewards, and make other changes.

Bungie promises to make Destiny 2 easier for newcomers, but the developers aim to add complexity and interest to high-level content so that experienced players will always be interested in returning to their favourite universe.

The developers thanked gamers for 10 years of support and attention to Destiny and promised that the game will only get better, and this is as important as ever, because, as we have already reported, the game is rapidly losing its audience.
