Apple to release iPadOS 18: 16 September

Apple has announced that the new iPadOS 18 update will be available to all users on Monday, 16 September. This update will be free for all compatible devices.

The update will bring many new features, including:

• New Home screen and app icon customisation tools
• Calculator app with the ability to create maths notes
• Updated features in Notes, including Apple Pencil Smart Script
• Redesigned Photos app
• Powerful new tab bar design for apps
• Updates to the Files app to save downloaded files and folders

However, the Apple Intelligence feature, which includes new artificial intelligence capabilities, will only be available in iPadOS 18.1, which will be released at the end of October.
