It is known that Madfinger Games studio is preparing a major update for the network tactical shooter Gray Zone Warfare, the main innovation of which will be the appearance of night combat operations and mechanics related to darkness.
At gamescom 2024 press representatives had a chance to talk to the developers of the Czech studio and learnt about some details of the update.
Here's What We Know
In addition to night sorties in Gray Zone Warfare will appear:
- new equipment, the iconic MP5 machine gun, torches, night vision devices, lasers and light bullets;
- increased map content with more buildings to explore;
- new interaction options for night operations, for example, players will be able to destroy torches and disable fuses;
- developers will reduce the waiting time for evacuation helicopters;
- tweak the artificial intelligence of bots, making it more honest;
- Madfinger will completely overhaul the shooter's economy and add more items;
- add new quests and community features.
Take note! "Night" update, which is planned to be released closer to the end of the year, will be so massive and important that the developers will have to completely reset all player progress to zero.
