The PlayStation 5 Pro was unveiled today.

The new console will be much more powerful than its predecessor, but all its capabilities are meaningless without games that will unlock its potential.

Chief engineer of the gaming division of the Japanese corporation Mark Cerny told about the games that will improve specifically for the new device and they will use all its capabilities.

Here's What We Know

By the time the PS5 Pro goes on sale (7 November 2024), about fifty games will receive improved versions. The full list is still unknown, but Sony has published a portion of the games which looks like this:

  • Alan Wake 2
  • Assassin's Creed: Shadows
  • Demon's Souls
  • Dragon's Dogma 2

  • Gran Turismo 7
  • Hogwarts Legacy
  • Horizon Forbidden West
  • Marvel's Spider-Man 2
  • Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
  • The Crew Motorfest
  • The First Descendant
  • The Last of Us Part II Remastered

Note that we're not just talking about Sony games, but also third-party projects.

Thus,

  • Horizon Forbidden West will run on PS5 Pro in 4K resolution at 60 FPS, the game will improve lighting and visual effects, as well as the display of hair and skin of characters in videos;
