On a new page on Apple's developer portal, the company has invited developers to submit their apps to the App Store, encouraging them to take advantage of all the latest features of the platforms. For example, iOS 18 offers new APIs, including support for Apple Intelligence, Control Centre, lock screen shortcuts, and dark icons on the Home screen. The new Double Tap API and the ability to provide Live Activities are available for watchOS 11 apps.
Apple has announced that iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS 11, tvOS 18, visionOS 2, and macOS Sequoia will be officially released to the public on Monday, 16 September. The updates will be available for compatible devices only.
