The Ministry of Defence has reported that Ukraine has successfully launched the first production of F-1 and RGD-5 hand grenades, which have already been codified and approved for use in the army.

Here's What We Know

In addition to the fact that Ukraine has started producing its own grenades, they have also passed all the necessary tests and are being successfully supplied to the army. Of course, there are no details on production yet.

This also shows that the Ukrainian defence industry is expanding and continues to increase production or develop new products.

It is worth noting that the F-1 is a hand-held defensive anti-personnel grenade, while the RGD-5 is an offensive grenade. The history of the former dates back to the First World War and the French prototype of all F-1 grenades. The RGD-5 was manufactured and put into service in the 1950s. It still exists in the same form today.
