The producer of the Metal Gear Solid series has confirmed that Konami is developing a second compilation of the revamped cult stealth action games
Some time ago Metal Gear Solid producer Nor iaki Okamura hinted that the cult stealth action game Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, which was released in 2008 and is still the only game of the famous series that is available only on one device - PlayStation 3, will be released on modern platforms.
That time we assumed that the updated game will be included in Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, about the development of which has long been rumoured and, as it turned out, this version turned out to be correct.
Here's What We Know
In the second issue of Metal Gear Production Hotline, Okamura officially confirmed that a second compilation is indeed in development, but the developer did not say whether the fourth part will be included in it, although it is quite obvious that it will be.
Noriaki Okamura mentioned that many games released after MGS 3 don't have HD re-releases, making it much more difficult to create such a compilation. However, Konami is working on a solution to this problem. This is probably the producer's way of hinting that MGS 4, and possibly some other games in the series, will get full remasters. We don't exclude, though it's not too probable scenario, that the games will get remakes. created by all modern standards, like Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater, which, as we already reported, is almost ready for release.
Noriaki Okamura also stated that Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 was released with significant technical problems, so the developers will do their best to avoid the mistakes made in the second collection, so its production may be slightly delayed.
