Latvia to transfer Patria armoured personnel carriers to Ukraine in 2025
Latvia plans to transfer a batch of Finnish Patria armoured personnel carriers to Ukraine.

This was reported by the publication LTV Zinu, referring to the Prime Minister of the country. Deliveries of equipment are scheduled for 2025. Unfortunately, the number of armoured personnel carriers are not yet disclosed. By the way, in addition, Latvia will train 4,000 Ukrainian soldiers next year, as well as transfer drones and various equipment to Ukraine.

Patria is a Finnish armoured personnel carrier designed for the armed forces of different countries. The Patria armoured personnel carrier, also known as the Patria AMV (Armored Modular Vehicle), has a modular design that allows it to be adapted for various missions, including infantry transport, reconnaissance, fire support and medical evacuation.
The Patria is highly agile, protected and capable of carrying up to 8-12 fighters with full equipment. It is equipped with modern armour that provides protection against mines, improvised explosive devices and small arms. The APC can be armed with different types of weapons, including machine guns, automatic cannons and anti-tank missile systems.
