Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka recently discussed the possibility of developing Sonic Adventure 3 and bringing back Chao Garden. While fans have long been clamouring for the return of Chao Garden, Iizuka noted that it is closely linked to the Sonic Adventure series, meaning that its revival would require the creation of Sonic Adventure 3, a project he has been dreaming about but has no plans for at the moment.

Here's What We Know

Chao Garden, a mini-game in which players grow Chao and compete in races, has not appeared since Sonic Adventure 2. Despite mentions in new games, its return seems to be connected to a potential Sonic Adventure sequel.

Iizuka explained that recent 3D Sonic games such as Sonic Colors and Sonic Frontiers were not named Sonic Adventure 3 because they featured unique elements that deserved different titles.

Until then, fans can look forward to Sonic x Shadow Generations, which will be released in October.
