Apple Intelligence creates an image of Craig Federighi's dog: a first look at the new technology

Apple has demonstrated its new artificial intelligence technology Apple Intelligence and created an image of Craig Federighi's dog, the company's senior vice president. This image was published in WIRED magazine, which added a watermark for copyright protection.

Here's What We Know

Apple Intelligence includes the Image Playgrounds feature, which allows you to create images with text prompts and choose different styles, such as animation, sketch, or illustration. These features are not yet available in the iOS 18.1 beta, but are expected to launch in the iOS 18.2 update later this year.

The image of Bailey the dog standing in front of the cake wearing a birthday hat was created in an animation style similar to Pixar's CGI models. When Image Playgrounds becomes available, the photos will not have a watermark, but the EXIF metadata will show that the image was created by artificial intelligence.

Apple Intelligence features will be available for iPhone 15 Pro and later models, as well as for iPads and Macs with an M1 chip or later. The first phase of the features will be launched in October in the US, followed by support for other languages next year.

In the European Union, the features will be available after legal issues are resolved.
