Film company HBO presented the trailer of the horror film "Salem's Lot" (Salem's Lot), which will be a new adaptation of one of the most famous novels by Stephen King.

Here's What We Know

The events of the film will unfold in a small American town Jerusalem's Lot in the 70-ies, where the writer Benjamin Mears (Ben Mears) arrived to find inspiration. As fate would have it, he finds himself caught up in the gruesome events of vampires taking over the town and killing its inhabitants.

Salem's Lot was directed by Harry Doberman, with Lewis Pullman playing the lead role, and John Benjamin Hickey playing the role of a life-long pastor Donald Callahan.

Salem's Lot will premiere exclusively on Max on 3 October.

Salem's Lot is considered to be the book that made Stephen King a star of American modern literature and brought him to the top of world fame. There have already been films and TV series based on this book, but perhaps the HBO version will be the best of them.

Earlier Stephen King mentioned that he saw the new film adaptation and was satisfied with what he saw.
