In early July, Ubisoft and film company New Regency announced the start of filming a film based on the famous video game Watch Dogs.

Recall, the plot of the 2014 action film (if it was taken as a basis) tells about the Chicago of the not-too-distant future, where all infrastructure and city services are subordinated to the ctOS system, and citizens are under constant surveillance.

Here's What We Know

Surprisingly, Ubisoft reported ... the completion of filming!

All the necessary scenes of the Watch Dogs film adaptation have been shot and now the team will take care of post-production.

It took less than three months to shoot, which is a bit alarming and it's hard to count on a really high-quality film yet.

Recall, the director of the tape was French director Mathieu Turi, and the script of the film was engaged Christie LeBlanc with the support of Victoria Bata.

Sophie Wilde, star of horror film Talk To Me, and Tom Keir Blyth, who starred in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, will play the lead roles.

It is still unknown whether the plot will repeat the script of the original game or it will be a standalone story in the Watch Dogs universe. The only thing that was shown by the film's authors is a single shot from the set, which, however, does not tell anything.
