Fans of the Resident Evil franchise have long been asking Capcom to release remakes of two not the most popular but iconic horror games: Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica.

The Japanese developers aren't turning down the opportunity to release remakes, but they're in no hurry to take on the job either.

But, it seems that updating these games is still in Capcom's plans.

Here's What We Know

Reputable insider Dusk Golem, who specialises in horror news, revealed that Capcom is indeed developing remakes of Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica.

He emphasised that since these are old format games, their remakes will not be filled with as much action as the updated versions of the third and fourth parts of Resident Evil. In this way Capcom hopes to please the conservative public who want the same horror games but with a modern twist.

Dusk Golem believes that by releasing a remake of the "zero part", Capcom plans to attract additional attention to the new film, the plot of which is based on this game.

Separately, the insider touched upon the topic of Resident Evil 5 remake. Many are sure that it is in development, but Dusk Golem said that at the moment work on it is not in progress, because the game is not too outdated and generally does not need improvement, but if there is a big request from the public, the developers will release such a remake.
