Meta Quest 3S: Leaked photos confirm no headphone jack and battery size

The South Korean forum Arcalive, similar to Reddit, has revealed new details about the Meta Quest 3S headset. The photos that were published confirm the absence of a 3.5 mm headphone jack and show the size of the battery.

Here's What We Know

The photos that appeared on the web show the headset from all sides - front, top, bottom, back, and sides. They confirm that Meta Quest 3S will be the brand's first headset without a headphone jack. This may mean that users will have to buy USB-C audio solutions that do not support simultaneous charging while gaming.

The Pico 4, Pico 4 Ultra, and Apple Vision Pro also lack headphone jacks, and high-quality, low-latency audio on the Vision Pro is only possible with Apple's AirPods Pro 2.

In addition, one of the images shows that the Quest 3S battery capacity is 16.74 Wh. This is slightly more than Quest 2, but less than Quest 3. Battery life is expected to be similar to Quest 2 and Quest 3.

Meta will present Quest 3S at the Meta Connect conference, which will take place from 23 to 26 September. The headset is supposed to replace the outdated Meta Quest 2 and offer some new features similar to Quest 3, such as the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor and colour rendering support.

Recently, gg wrote that the Meta Quest 3S will get a new action button to quickly switch between modes.
