Alan Wake 2 developers to reveal details on PlayStation 5 Pro version of the game in the coming weeks
PlayStation 5 Pro will be available in November, and many games will receive official improvements. Among these games will be Alan Wake 2. Recently, the developers shared some details about the console version of the game.
Here's What We Know
A recent analysis by Digital Foundry showed that Alan Wake 2 runs on PlayStation 5 Pro at 864p at 60 frames per second or 1260p at 30 frames per second, using PSSR to boost the resolution - similar to the base PS5 version, which uses AMD's FSR 2. This has drawn criticism from some users, who have questioned whether these improvements are significant enough to warrant the attention.
In response, Remedy Entertainment's head of communications, Thomas Puha, responded to the concerns on ResetEra, saying that the PlayStation 5 Pro version of Alan Wake 2 will be a "pleasant surprise", stressing that image quality is more important than raw resolution. Puha also promised more details and footage in the coming weeks.
When We Can Expect It
The PlayStation 5 Pro is scheduled to launch on 7 November for $699, with 40-50 games receiving special enhancements at launch.
