Samsung is expanding the rollout of the September security update for the Galaxy A55. Owners of this smartphone in India and several neighbouring countries can now improve the security of their devices with the new update.

Here's What We Know

The update, which has a build number of A556EXXS4AXH4, includes new security fixes but no other changes. Users can download it from the Settings, Software Update menu on their phone.

As for the possibility of getting One UI 6.1.1 for the Galaxy A55, Samsung has not yet officially confirmed whether there will be an update to this version.

For those who are waiting for new features, it is worth noting that Galaxy A55 does not support all Galaxy AI features announced by Samsung. This could mean that the device will receive an update directly to Android 15 and One UI 7.0, with all the features included in One UI 6.1.1.

Android 15 will be the first major OS update for the Galaxy A55. Samsung is promising four major Android updates and five years of security updates for this device, which is in line with their flagship phone support policy.
