Apple Music has introduced a new Apple Music Haptics audio vibration feature, which is now available to all users with the iOS 18 update.

Here's What We Know

The feature is designed primarily for people with hearing loss and allows them to experience tactile vibrations synchronised with music, creating a deep musical experience. Audio vibrations work by analysing sound waves and rhythm, transmitting vibrations through the device.

To activate the haptic feedback, you need to go into the special features settings and switch on the corresponding option. A logo will then appear on the playback screen in Apple Music, allowing you to switch the feature on and off. Apple Music Haptics works with the Apple Music app, as well as Apple Music Classical and Shazam.

Apple has also released special playlists, such as Haptics Beats and Haptics Bass, that make the most of the new technology. The new feature will be available for iPhone 12 and higher models that have updated to iOS 18.
