According to The Game Post's own sources, Bungie and Sony are considering setting the price for Marathon at $40. The potential starting price of the PvP mining shooter could be on par with two other games recently released by Sony: Helldivers 2 and Concord.

Here's What We Know

Helldivers II has become a definite hit this year, with over 12 million copies sold in the first twelve weeks, making it the best-selling PlayStation game of all time.

However, in contrast, Concord, which was released last month, was a complete failure: according to some unofficial data, less than 25 thousand copies were sold. Moreover, the game was removed from all stores just two weeks after the launch. Needless to say, this is a terrible result for a game that took about eight years to develop?

Although Marathon has an advantage: unlike Helldivers II and Concord, the game will also be available on Xbox Series consoles.

When We Can Expect It

Despite the fact that the official release date of the game has not been announced, it was previously reported that the developers planned to release the game this year, but then decided to postpone the release for unknown reasons.
