Grow old: HBO's Harry Potter series won't come out until 2027 at the earliest

In April 2023, the film company HBO, which is part of the media holding company Warner Bros. Discovery, has officially announced a TV series based on the Harry Potter universe.

It will be a complete reboot, with new actors and a more detailed reflection of the events of the books by J.K. Rowling.

Here's What We Know

The premiere date for the first season of the Harry Potter series has not been announced, but it was clear that it would not be happening anytime soon.

Now from an interview with the head of HBO Casey Bloys portal Deadline became known approximate plans of the company. The head said that the series will not be released before the end of 2026-2007.

Casey Bloys said that the project is already working on the scriptwriters and director Mark Mylod, but many positions are vacant and the search for appropriate specialists.

It was also revealed that casting for the lead roles opened just a few days ago. The authors are looking for children from the UK and Ireland from 9 to 11 years old, and such age must be at the child by the start of filming in April 2025 - so we learnt when the active work on the series will begin.
