Apple starts production of iPhone 16 in Brazil
Apple continues to expand its production capacity. In addition to China and India, this year the company started assembling the iPhone 16 in Brazil.
Here's What We Know
For the first time, new models will be assembled in this country from the first day of release. Foxconn's plant in Jundiaí, São Paulo, is responsible for assembling the basic version of the iPhone 16. However, more expensive models will continue to be imported from China.
This move will not only reduce Apple's dependence on Chinese production, but also speed up the delivery of smartphones to Brazil. Previously, it would have taken the company almost a month to deliver new iPhone models to the country. Now, the iPhone 16 will arrive in Brazil a week after its launch in the US.
Prices for the new models in the US start at $799 for the iPhone 16 and $999 for the iPhone 16 Pro.
