Ukraine and Switzerland signed a multimillion-dollar agreement for digitalisation in Ukraine in the areas of education, healthcare, electronic notary, humanitarian demining, and digital development of frontline communities.

Here's What We Know

Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov met with Felix Baumann, Ambassador of Switzerland to Ukraine. They signed a memorandum for more than $68 million with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The funds will be allocated during 2024-2028 and will be used for digitalisation and development of Ukrainian regions. The projects will be implemented under the EGAP programme implemented by the Eastern Europe Foundation.

It is worth noting that with the support of the Swiss Government, "online marriage" and other projects were launched only in 2024. In general, Switzerland has been supporting digitalisation since 2015 through the EGAP programme, with partners allocating more than 30 million francs.
