Google has introduced a new update to Android Auto that adds support for electric vehicles with NACS chargers available at Tesla charging stations. This feature will be available in the beta version of Android Auto 12.9.143804.

Here's What We Know

Electric vehicle drivers can now configure this standard in their cars, making it easier to find charging stations via Google Maps.

Although Tesla cars do not support Android Auto, other electric vehicles will be able to take advantage of this new feature. GM has also approved the NACS adapter for its models, which confirms the popularity of this standard.

The update is currently available in beta via the Play Store and will be available to all users in the coming weeks.
