AMD Ryzen AI Max 390: 12-core Strix Halo processor spotted on Geekbench
The 12-core AMD Strix Halo processor, which is probably a Ryzen AI Max 390 model, appeared on the Geekbench platform.
Here's What We Know
Earlier it became known that AMD would present three models as part of the Strix Halo line: Ryzen AI Max+ 395 (16 cores), Ryzen AI Max 390 (12 cores), and Ryzen AI Max 385 (8 cores).
Testing of Ryzen AI Max 390 (AMD Eng sample: 100-000001421-50_Y) showed the results: 4733 points in single precision, 4944 in half precision, and 13944 in quantisation. This is slightly higher than the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, which scored 4695, 4715, and 12669 in the same tests.
The list does not contain detailed information about the key features of Ryzen AI Max 390, including frequency boosts.
Testing was conducted on an HP ZBook Ultra laptop with 64 GB of RAM.
Earlier, the 8-core Strix Halo (Ryzen AI Max 385) was also tested, so now we can only wait for the announcement of models with the highest performance.
