Silent Hill 2 Remake may come out on Xbox, but it won't happen until October 2025 at the earliest
Despite the initial scepticism of the public about the quality of the updated horror game Silent Hill 2, after a few recent videos the opinion about the game has changed dramatically. The presented videos demonstrate the excellent quality of graphics, high detail, excellent sound design and careful attitude to the cult original.
The remake can become a real hit in 2024 and many gamers are looking forward to its release, but the game will be available only on PC and PlayStation 5.
Here's What We Know
Sony has unveiled a new Silent Hill 2 Remake trailer that focuses on the benefits of playing the game on PS5. And it confirms that players can count on 4K resolution, stable frame rate, they will feel every blow thanks to DualSense haptic feedback, feel all the efforts made by James Sunderland with the help of adaptive triggers, feel the footsteps of enemies through the vibration of controllers, hear every rustle in the foggy streets of Silent Hill in headphones with 3D-sound support and can track the health of the hero, looking at the backlight of the gamepad.
However, this video has revealed important information for Xbox users: small letters at the end of the video indicate that after the 8th of October 2025 Konami will be able to port Silent Hill 2 Remake to other platforms. Consequently, after this date we can expect the release of the updated horror game on Xbox Series X/S. And also recall that by that time on the market will be a new console from Nintendo, which, judging by the leaked technical data, will be able to run a game like Silent Hill 2.
