Renders of the new HMD Aura 2 with an updated display and a side fingerprint scanner have been released

New details have emerged about the HMD Aura 2, the successor to the HMD Aura budget smartphone announced four months ago. The leaked information, published on the X platform by @smashx_60, reveals an updated display and a new chipset of the upcoming phone.

Here's What We Know

The HMD Aura 2 will have a 6.56-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, which is significantly higher than the 60 Hz of its predecessor. The smartphone will have two rear cameras: A 13-megapixel main sensor and a 0.8-megapixel secondary sensor, as well as an 8-megapixel front camera.

The device will be powered by the new UNISOC T603 processor, which will provide better performance compared to the UNISOC SC9863A1. The phone will have 4GB of RAM with 64GB or 128GB internal storage options, as well as a MicroSD card slot for expansion.

The HMD Aura 2 will also feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, audio jack, USB-C port, OTG support, and IP52 protection. The 5000 mAh battery will provide long battery life.

After the launch, the phone will be available in blue and grey colours.

There is no information yet on the HMD Aura 2's launch date or price.
